Emergency short-term foster carers urgently needed

Stratford Editorial 25th Oct, 2016 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

EMERGENCY foster carers are urgently needed in Warwickshire.

The county council’s fostering service is looking for emergency duty carers who provide support and stability at very short notice.

Carers give emergency cover outside of office hours for children and young people who need a home for the night but are unable to stay with friends or relatives.

The young people in care can be any age from babies up to 18 years.

Carers need to be a two adult household and have no children aged under 18 living with them.

At least one carer needs to be able to be at home full time to support any placements made on an emergency basis.
