Emergency accommodation offered to rough sleepers in Stratford

EMERGENCY accommodation is being offered overnight to rough sleepers in Stratford since temperatures plummeted across the district.

Stratford District Council activated its Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) which has so far helped ten people into a bed for the night.

The SWEP is expected to continue until at least Monday December 18.

The Stratford Link Project on Waterside is also operating between 10am to 4pm on Monday to Friday, to provide shelter during the day.
