ELVES in Stratford are preparing for the gift-giving season.
Wellbeing charity Escape Arts is launching its Surprise Santa Toy Drive which aims to deliver festive cheer to families experiencing a hard time.
Each year the charity transforms its bus into a Santa’s grotto which will visit families who might otherwise miss out on traditional festivities.
And the organisation is calling on the community to nominate those deserving of a visit and lasting memory.
Last year the project gave out over 500 presents during a visit to Warwick Hospital where Santa and his merry crew of Elves dropped in on the children’s and other wards frailty wards.
Escape Arts chief executive Karen Williams said: “This is an extremely busy time for the charity as everyone volunteers above and beyond to help make Christmas special for the children and families we visit. It is a hugely impacting project which creates lasting memories for everyone involved, making a difference during difficult times. So please support if you can or come and get involved. We are always on the hunt for elves and grotto drivers – there’s a lot of food, singing and festive joy!”
The charity is also asking residents to donate and prepare gifts by hosting a toy drive collection point or a gift-wrapping event.
Contact [email protected] for more information and for nominations before November 10.
