A SPLASHING good time can now be had by youngsters in Stratford.

The paddling pool at Stratford Recreation Ground has been given a revamp and was reopened by outgoing Stratford District Council Chairman Chris Mills.

The free to use pool opens from 11am to 6pm every weekend until July 19 and will then be available daily during the school holidays until September 7.

Leisure spokeswoman Coun Lynda Organ said: “The paddling pool is just one of the many facilities offered by the district council to keep children and young people entertained throughout the summer season.

“It’s great fun, it’s free, and it’s in the beautiful surroundings of Stratford Recreation Ground – let’s hope the sun shines on us this summer!”
