Developer not giving up in bid to build homes in Bidford

Stratford Editorial 19th Jun, 2015 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

DEVELOPERS have not given up in their bid to build 40 homes in Bidford.

Bloor Homes was looking to build the homes on land at Jacksons Meadow earlier this year.

In March, Stratford District Council’s planning committee refused permission saying it was unsustainable for the location being a greenfield site.

But this week the same developers submitted another application to council for the same number of homes in the same area – in effect a re-submission of the previously refused scheme.

It will now be subject to a period of public consultation and is expected to go before the authority’s planning committee later this year.

A date for the appeal hearing on the original application has not yet been set.
