THINGS are being cut down to size at Warwickshire Exhibition Centre this weekend.

The Midlands Model Engineering Exhibition is celebrating its 40th anniversary at the venue near Leamington.

The show, one the biggest modelling exhibitions in the country, features over 1,000 models on display, both inside and outside.

They include steam locomotives, traction engines, model boats and stationary engines along with railway layouts of different scales.

The show also sees the return of the “Fosse Way Steamers” a collection of miniature traction engines, plus a 5” gauge passenger carrying track.

A spokesman said: “If you are an active model engineer this is a key event in the calendar to meet other hobbyists and see the leading suppliers.

“If you want to rekindle your childhood memories, you will find something amongst the many diverse types of modelling on display to admire. If you are not already a modeller hopefully the exhibition will fire your imagination to build something yourself and enjoy one of these satisfying hobbies.”

The exhibtition runs until Sunday. Visit www.midlandsmodelengineering.co.uk for full details.
