A CROWNDFUNDER has been launched to support owners of Alcester’s The Three Tuns pub after it was devastated by fire.
Resident Tom Print set up the fund-raiser shortly after the fire destroyed much of the pub’s roof on Saturday (April 17).
So far, £375 of the £500 target has been raised for the owners who were holidaying in the south of England at the time.
He said: “We are all aware of the fire taken place at The Three Tuns and what a massive impact this event has had on the whole of Alcester.
“Mandy and Andy do so much for our community and I would like your help to give a little back to them, to remind them they’re not alone and we are behind them.
“I know this will not replace what they have lost but even if we can raise a little for the essentials to give back to them, like they have given to us all at some point. All your donations will go to them to help. Mandy and Andy have not asked for this but, as we all know, people don’t ask for help enough when they really need it.
“Thank you in advance all donations are appreciated.”
Seven crews from Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the Grade II listed pub to tackle the blaze where they remained over night.
No injuries were reported.
The cause has not yet been revealed, although officers say it is not being treated as suspicious.
