Councillor diagnosed with cancer braves shave to help others

A COUNCILLOR has braved the shave after being diagnosed with cancer.

Keith Greenaway who sits on Alcester Town Council was diagnosed with kidney cancer and needed to have his kidney removed in March.

And just weeks later he decided to have his head, beard and even his eyebrows shaved in aid of Kidney Cancer UK – a charity which offers support and advice to patients.

He raised more than £1,000 for the charity.

Keith, who is a member of Alcester Male Voice Choir, said: “Apart from feeling a little chilly around the ears, I’m recovering from both my operation and restyling.”
