Christmas comes early for Stratford Sea Cadets

CHRISTMAS came early for Stratford Sea Cadets when they received a donation of ten laptops.

Local businesses EncodeDotHost and Pink Connect united to make the generous donation.

Chris Wheeler, chairman of T.S. Gurkha, said: “The laptops are going to be really beneficial, contributing greatly to our ability to teach our Cadets as well as improving the Cadets’ capabilities of study and education. The laptops will be great for helping the Cadets develop key skills in the Corps, such as navigation, marine engineering, meteorology and leadership.”

Neil Batchelor, Co-director of EncodeDotHost, added: “My son, Daniel, joined T.S. Gurkha as a cadet over six years ago and is now an adult volunteer, petty officer supporting the current cadets on their journey. We have witnessed firsthand the invaluable support the Cadets provide to young people in Stratford.”
