Christmas carol concert helps community groups

A FESTIVE fund-raiser at a Stratford church will help community groups across the area.

The Heart of England Community Foundation held its annual Christmas Carol concert at the Holy Trinity Church and raised more than £2,000 for the Foundation and the High Sheriff of Warwickshire’s Fund.

The event included performances from the Lady Belles Vintage Choir and the Swan Singers as well as readings by Heart of England Community Foundation director Tina Costello; Warwickshire Police chief constable Martin Jelley; Foundation trustee Sir Dominic Cadbury: Foundation chair of the trustees  Paul Belfield; Lord Lieutenant of Warwickshire Tim Cox; and High Sheriff of Warwickshire Janet Bell Smith.

The service was led by The Very Reverend John Witcombe, Dean of Coventry Cathedral.




It was attended by more than 100 local business and civic leaders.
