Christian Aid to highlight plight of 'internally displaced'

AN EXHIBITION at Stratford’s Holy Trinity Church will highlight the plight of people forced to flee their homes in war-torn countries.

Christian Aid is hosting the free photography exhibition ‘Uprooted’ from Tuesday September 11 to 13.

Internally Displaced People are those who fear for their safety but cannot leave their country and are denied the protection given to refugees.

The display will tell the stories of people displaced in Nigeria, Kenya and Iraq, whose situation is the focus of an action plan to be discussed by the United Nations this month and supported by Prime Minister Theresa May.

Those interested can view the exhibition from 11am to 5.30pm on Tuesday, and from 9am to 5.30pm on Wednesday and Thursday.
