STRATFORD Foodbank saw donations worth £2,500 at its latest drive.
Over the course of two days at Tesco in Stratford, some 1.4 tonnes of food was donated.
It was sorted by more than 30 volunteers who took the time to collect and sort the goods.
Warehouse manager Marina Dunn said: “We used a targeted shopping list at the drive which allowed us to boost stocks of depleted food items.
“We are in excellent shape as we move into the leaner donation months, and can confidently continue to deliver our service to the town.
“A very heartfelt big thank you to all involved.”
