Bidford Community Library supported by Community Savings Scheme

THERE is plenty going on at Bidford Community Library.

Customers at Warner’s Budgens in Bidford have been supporting the library through the Warner’s Budgens Community Savings Scheme and have raised over £400 to develop activities and groups on offer.

Every time a customer spends over £10 in store they are given a ‘community savings’ token which is then converted into cash for local projects – the library has received some £4,500 since 2012 as a result.

*BIDFORD Community Choir have gone above and beyond expectations to help a poorly resident.

The choir held a concert to raise money for Lorraine Richards from Broom, who is suffering from multiple sclerosis.

The 35-year-old spends a lot of time at home due to her disability.

But the choir managed to raise £1,000 which will pay for an iPad and internet access at home, which they hope will keep Lorraine busy over the winter months.

Their concert did so well the singers also managed to raise an additional £150 which they donated to Bidford Primary School.
