Animal rescue sanctuary thanks visitors for much-needed support

AN ANIMAL rescue sanctuary in Wolverton is celebrating a successful Easter fundraiser.

The event raised over £1,500 to provide care for some 400 residents at the Farm Animal Rescue Sanctuary (FARS) rescued by owner Carole Webb and her team of volunteers.

The funds were much-needed after a tough financial year which saw demand for places and day-to-day running costs spiral.

There was face painting, competitions, stalls, vegan food and visitors got a little one-to-one time with the animals which include sheep, pigs and goats.

Administrator Sharon Bull said: “We would like to thank everyone who came along to FARS Warwickshire this weekend. Our strap-line was ‘pledge not to eat lamb this Easter. Instead spend sometime with our beautiful rescued babies’. It melts our hearts that tickets sold out for both days.”
