New project to improve blood testing services for children

A NEW project aims to improve blood testing services for children.

Representatives from the South Warwickshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) will be attending Children’s Centres across the area to hear views from parents.

The feedback will assist the CCG in compiling a review and considering ways to improve the new blood testing service for children aged three to 15.

Dr David Spraggett, Chair of the CCG said: “Last year there were over 2,000 attendances in paediatric phlebotomy services. The new service will seek to deliver benefits for patients through improved choice and convenience by allowing the service to operate from a number of locations.”
