Coronavirus: Alcester Tesco introduces yellow tape social distancing measures

SOCIAL distancing methods have been introduced at Tesco in Alcester.

The supermarket has marked the floor with yellow tape to indicate a one metre distance between shoppers and checkout staff.

Store bosses have also asked customers to limit who they bring to the store as much as possible.

A spokeswoman said: “Tesco have introduced some social distancing measures, these are for everyone’s safety, please can you adhere to them when you come into the shop. Also can we try to limit the amount of people coming in to the store, so if you can, don’t come in with your family, kids etc. However, we understand that this may not always be possible. Thank you for your understanding.”

Social media users have praised store staff for the measures amid concerns over the spread of the virus in busy establishments.
