Youngsters thriving at Henley

Stratford Editorial 28th Jan, 2015 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

OVER 200 juniors have been taking part in regular coaching sessions at Henley-in-Arden Tennis Club.

There are 23 different group sessions on a weekly basis and six squad invitation-only sessions for around 35 children to focus on developing their tactics and technical performance.

In addition, there is tennis and sports coaching to hundreds of schoolchildren during curriculum time or for after school clubs by linking to nine schools and running five after school clubs located at local primary schools on a weekly basis.

All of the above was mentioned by head coach Neil Supperstone at the club’s recent AGM as members also heard about successes at county level, parent and child competitions and schools tournaments, as well as training for youngsters to become Young Leaders and Level 1 coaches.

New members are welcome so, if you or your child would like to be part of this exciting programme, call Neil on 07912664426 or come to the club’s open day on Saturday, May 16.
