A STRING of stand-out fixtures are set to provide Paul Davis’ Stratford Town side with a thorough test in preparation for the 2021/22 campaign, after the club’s pre-season schedule was released.
To date, the Bards have arranged nine run-outs for their squad ahead of the Southern League Premier Central kick-off, starting with a trip to United Counties League side Heather St John’s on Saturday, July 10.
Three days later, Bishops Cleeve of the Hellenic League will welcome Town to Kayte Lane, before Stratford return to the Arden Garages Stadium after a lengthy absence against Hanley Town – who turn out in the Midland League – on July 17.
Three headline acts then follow in quick succession on home soil, with Championship outfit Coventry City (July 20) the National League’s Yeovil Town (July 24) and Kidderminster Harriers (July 27) of National League North all testing Stratford’s mettle.
In the final fixture of the month, the club host King’s Lynn Town on July 31, before Leicester City’s development side head to Warwickshire on August 3.
Then, a week before the new league campaign gets underway, the visit of Bedford Town concludes the Bards’ pre-season.
Ticket prices and kick-off times for all of the aforementioned fixtures are to be communicated by the club in due course.
