STRATFORD Cycling Club fielded 35 riders in week three of the West Midlands Cyclo-cross League spread across all age group categories and there was a hat-trick of victories for Spencer Corder.

The event featured riders from under six to under 55 and yet again it was the youngest members who impressed the most, including Lewis Tinsley who claimed three second places.

Under ten stars Corder and Tinsley, who came home well ahead of everyone else for the third week running, were this time joined by Alex Burden (ninth), Joseph Gregg (14th), Joe Chandler (19th), Harriet Tinsley (25th) who is now tenth in the girls’ section and Ava Piper (37th) who from her cumulative results is now sixth overall.

Also in this age group, Alex Taylor sits 44th and Jessica Mancroft 49th.

Also starting to show a competitive edge is Tamsin Moss who was first in the under six category – following a third place in week one and fifth in week two – as she came out on top in the Solihull event.

Ruben Stringfellow was a creditable fifth in the under eight race and Callum Moss finished 17th, whilst John Chesney has climbed to seventh overall in the under 16s.

The club had six riders in the under 14s section and a further six in the veterans section and the best ride came from David Hird in eighth place.
