STRATFORD Riding Club quartet Liz Quinney, Helen Kubiak, Nita Yates and Caitlin Stephenson, along with their supporters, went to Princethorpe to take part in the British Riding Club’s Area 5 Dressage and the team recorded impressive results.
Caitlin finished third in her arena and the team came seventh out of 14.
FOUR club members enjoyed a four-day camping break with their horses at Kersoe Farm on Bredon Hill where the hosts – Sally and Peter Hobbs – were very accommodating and charming.
The weather was lovely for camping, even if a bit hot for the horses who were slightly bothered by the flies, but it made for a fabulous trip as the views were really clear and you could see for miles.
With lots of scenic bridle paths to choose from, linked by quiet country lanes, the hardest part was deciding which direction to head off in, although a lunch/ice cream stop somewhere in the middle was definitely called for.
THE CLUB is holding its fifth annual summer show on August 16 at Willicote Equestrian Centre in Stratford.
You are most welcome to attend and enjoy the company of other horse enthusiasts at this event and training sessions.
If you want to compete, represent the club in inter-branch competitions, improve your horse and your riding, or take RC exams, then the club will support you. Visit www.stratfordridingclub.co.uk/index.html for more details.
