Tennis fun at Henley

Stratford Editorial 22nd Apr, 2015 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

HENLEY Tennis Club are launching two new initiatives aimed at keeping youngsters active and fit.

Research shows many girls of this age prefer to play in a same sex, rather than a mixed, group, and therefore Henley TC are launching the Miss-His programme with a free session at 2pm on their open day on Saturday, May 16.

There will be two groups – one for girls aged ten and under and one for girls aged between 11 and 16. This is a great way for your children to meet new people and to play a new sport or come back to one they used to play.

Cardio tennis is recognised as being a great way to keep fit and to burn calories and the club will be running a free introductory session for adults at 2pm, but before that at 1pm there will be a free introductory session for teenagers and pre-teens as part of the Sportivate programme promoted by Coventry, Solihull & Warwickshire Sport.

It will be fun, fast-paced and played to music – an ideal way for youngsters to meet new friends and try a new sport.
