WILLERSEY Table Tennis Club made history after hosting their very first home league game in the Stratford-upon-Avon Table Tennis League.
The inaugural match saw the club’s chairman, Mark Bridgeman, and Stratford League chair, Kevin Taylor, take to the table.
Stratford Paddles beat Willersey A 14-4 although Willersey B claimed a 14-6 win against Stratford Edge Shots.
In Division One, Stratford Racketeers edged out Shottery 10-8 although the latter side’s Gary Stewart went undefeated in his singles matches.
Elsewhere, Bengeworth cruised to a dominant 15-3 victory against Henley with Richard Bishop leading the charge and claiming the player of the match title.
In Division Two, Stratford Team MND showed their strength to power past Ashorne 14-3 as Leigh Ganderton starred once again.
Also in Division Two, FISSC defeated Stratford Jets 12-8 as Mark Kingham’s contribution proved crucial.
In Division Three, Ilmington overwhelmed Stratford Junior Girls to win 15-2 as Rick Burgess maintained his unbeaten run for the season.
Elsewhere, Stratford Junior Boys beat Littleton Panthers 15-1 as Edward Waldron and Archie Pilling both impressed.
