Stratford-upon-Avon Table Tennis Club are busy preparing to host a 24-hour table tennis marathon in support of Parkinson’s UK and the Alzheimer’s Society.

Created in honour of former Stratford League player Rod Lewis, the event will take place at Ilmington Village Hall on Saturday, January 31 from 10am until 10am on Sunday, February 1.

Stratford chair, Kevin Taylor said: “The standard of play across all divisions was excellent, and it’s especially encouraging to see both our junior players and senior league teams performing so strongly.

“We’re incredibly proud of the community spirit within the league, which will be on full display this weekend as players and supporters come together to support Parkinson’s UK and the Alzheimer’s Society in memory of Rod Lewis.”

Players, supporters and members of the public are encouraged to attend the 24-hour marathon at any time, whether to play, watch or donate.
