STRATFORD-upon-Avon Table Tennis Club competed in the Cadet British League for the first time in the club’s six-year history.
The Cadet British League represents the highest level of national competition for table tennis players aged 11 to 14-years-old
Stratford’s team comprised of Joshua Marston, Max Tanqueray, Herbie Langstone, Lewis Marston and Leo Burdett.
The quintet won two of three matches which included a 9-0 victory against Cheslyn Hay Tigers and 7-2 success against ABM Cadets.
However, Stratford lost their other game 7-2 against Kidlington B.
Club chair, Kevin Taylor said: “This is a historic moment for Stratford upon Avon Table Tennis Club and a proud day for everyone involved.
“To see our juniors competing – and winning – at this level is the result of years of hard work from our coaches, volunteers, parents and most importantly, the players themselves.
“This achievement shows the direction the club is heading and the bright future we are building for table tennis in our community.”
