STRATFORD-upon-Avon will host a celebration of table tennis as part of the ITTF Foundation’s World Table Tennis Day.
Stratford-upon-Avon Table Tennis Club chair Kevin Taylor is one of 35 global International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Foundation promoters.
Taylor’s appointment to the position recognises his commitment to community sport, inclusion and the power of table tennis to improve health and wellbeing.
World Table Tennis Day takes place on April 23 with the global theme of health and wellbeing.
Taylor plans to host a multi-location festival across Stratford-upon-Avon.
The celebration of the sport will feature free activities for all ages and abilities, designed to encourage participation, movement, fun and connection.
Planned activities include: free drop-in table tennis sessions, family challenges and mini games, inclusive beginner activities and community matches.
Taylor will work alongside Parkinson’s UK and the Alzheimer’s Society in line with the global theme of the day.
