SHOTTERY TTC overpowered Stratford Tigers to claim a big win in the Stratford-upon-Avon and District Table Tennis League.

Shottery claimed a 15-5 victory against the Tigers in Division One as Gary Stewart and Steve Foster set the tone with Jack and Leigh Ganderton unable to overcome the combined strength of Shottery’s squad despite a spirited effort.

In Division Two, Stratford MND secured a 13-6 victory over Willersey A with standout performances from Seth Warner and Barney Tandy.

Willersey A’s Mark Bridgeman and Jared Maguire fought hard but could not close the gap.

Elsewhere, Stratford Paddles dominated their match against FISSC sweeping to a 15-0 win. Kevin Taylor and Piotr Penczkowski proved too strong for FISSC’s Neil Mudie and Mark Kingham.

In Division Three, Ilmington continued their excellent form with a 13-5 win over Littleton Panthers led by Rick Burgess and Craig Bonsor.

Despite resilience from Edward Waldron and Lexi Nightingale of Littleton Panthers, they could not match Ilmington’s determination.

Elsewhere, Stratford Edge Shots earned a commanding 15-0 victory over Stratford Junior Boys with superb performances from Damian Malecki and Chris Morris overcoming Max Tanqueray and Charlie Shuker.

Ilmington also remain on track for promotion just six months after Ilmington Village Hall invested in three new tables, supported by Think Active, to establish weekly sessions.

With regular coaching from Stratford and District chair Kevin Taylor, Ilmington entered a team in the league and they now sit top of the Division Three table undefeated with 41 points.
