THE latest round of matches took place in the Stratford-upon-Avon Table Tennis League with a host of local players in action.

Shottery maintained their place at the top of the Division One table after inflicting a first league defeat of the season on Stratford Blazing Paddles.

Strong performances from Gary Stewart and Rob Poole helped Shottery take the honours.

And Littleton Lynx joined Shottery at the summit with an impressive 15–4 victory over JLM Hussars led by standout performances from Craig Witherford and Richard Bishop.

In Division Two, Littleton Panthers recorded a narrow 11-9 win against league leaders Ilmington.

Despite the loss, Ilmington’s Rick Burgess remained unbeaten and proved difficult to overcome.

The division’s other fixture saw Willersey record a dominant 15-1 victory against Quinton, with Ian Cooper and Robert Pitt in excellent form throughout.

Division Three featured just one match as Ashorne Spirits secured a comprehensive 15-0 win over Generations United, thanks to strong performances from Stephen Handley and Paul Hedges.
