THE latest round of matches took place in the Stratford-upon-Avon Table Tennis League with a host of local players in action.
In Division One, Stratford Racketeers maintained their strong run of form with an impressive 11-6 victory against Shottery.
And Stratford Blazing Paddles overcame JLM Hussars 11-7 in a closely-fought encounter.
League pace-setters Littleton Lynx continued to dominate, securing a solid 12-6 win against Stratford MND.
In Division Two, Quinton edged out Littleton Panthers 11-10 in a nail-biting finish, while Ilmington continued their fine form with a convincing 15-5 victory against Stratford Edge Shots.
Meanwhile, Henley and Willersey shared the spoils in an incredible 12-12 draw which showcased the division’s competitiveness.
In Division Three, Stratford Slow Paddles and Stratford Junior Boys Blue produced a thrilling contest, as the juniors won 10-9 to claim a narrow victory.
Elsewhere, Ashorne Spirits displayed their growing strength with a commanding 12-3 victory against Stratford Junior Boys Blue.
Away from league action, Stratford-upon-Avon Table Tennis Club recently received a visit from Paralympic athlete Kare Adenegan and her father.
Kare selected club chair Kevin Taylor as the winner of the BBC Make A Difference Award earlier this year.
And she and her father donated £1,000 to support the club’s ongoing development.
The club has also formed a new partnership with Parkinson’s UK.
The charity also recently helped fund specialist training equipment to support club member Alex Bretherton.
Bretherton, who currently plays in Division Three, is working hard towards his goal of participating in the 2026 Parkinson’s World Championships.
And in the Midlands Table Tennis League, Stratford host Hinckley this weekend in their first home fixture at Meon Vale Leisure Centre on Sunday, November 16 from midday.
