A JUNIOR player from Stratford-upon-Avon Table Tennis Club won bronze at the Warwickshire Schools Table Tennis Championships.
Gavreel Brannan claimed bronze in the under-16 girls’ event while Jess Barrow and Libby Burdett both progressed from their under-11 groups.
In the under-13 boys’ competition, Max Tanqueray and Leo Burnett both advanced to the knockout stages while Herbie Langstone competed well against strong opposition.
Elsewhere, Stratford lost 7-3 against Hinckley B in their latest Midland League Division Three outing.
The trio of Gary Stewart, Stephen Foster and Kevin Taylor all secured well-deserved wins.
The result leaves Stratford second in the table with two league fixtures remaining.
Stratford TTC chair and captain Taylor said: “It’s fantastic to see our juniors pushing themselves against top-level opposition, while our senior team continues to fight for the title.
“This weekend showed the real strength and depth of our club.”
In the Stratford-upon-Avon Table Tennis League, Shottery thrashed Henley 14-5 while Blazing Paddles edged out Henley 11-10 in Division One.
And in Division Two, Ilmington beat Two Pings 15-7 while Team MND won 15-2 against Ashorne Spirits and 12-6 against Two Pings and Littleton Panthers claimed a 15-4 victory against Ashorne.
In Division Three, Slow Paddles secured a 15-0 whitewash win against Generations United.
And Edge Shots beat Junior Boys Blues 12-5 while Quinton won 15-5 against Junior Boys Red.
