TABLE TENNIS - Champions crowned in two divisions in Stratford-upon-Avon Table Tennis League

THE Stratford-upon-Avon Table Tennis League reached a thrilling conclusion with champions crowned in two divisions.

The league expanded to three divisions in 2024/25 and welcomed junior teams for the first time.

In Division Two, Stratford MND clinched the title with 120 points, edging out Henley and Willersey to take top spot.

The team of Seth Warner, Leigh Ganderton, Barney Tandy and Ian Nash ensured Stratford MND claimed the title.

However, Barry Quirke, from Henley-in-Arden proved the division’s top individual performer, losing just once in 16 matches.

In Division Three, Stratford Edge Shots secured the title with 133 points pipping local rivals Littleton Panthers to the top prize by just four points.




The squad of David Giraldo, Chris Morris, Damian Malecki and Jonathan Mason steered Stratford Edge Shots to the title with many playing in their debut season.

Littleton Panthers player Edward Waldron was the division’s standout player as he went unbeaten across all 14 of his matches.


The title race remains alive in Division One although Stratford Racketeers took a huge step towards the title with a dominant 15-1 victory against current leaders Shottery.

The Stratford-upon-Avon and District Table Tennis Association also held a competition at Meon Vale Leisure Centre.

Debs Barrow won the open singles event with a 3-0 win in the final against clubmate David Ramsey to win her first-ever title.

And Joshua Marston claimed the junior singles prize with a 3-1 victory over Alfie Musk in the final.

Marston also won the junior doubles event with playing partner Herbie Langstone.

And Robert Tkaczyk claimed the open singles consolation prize while Leo Burdett won the junior singles consolation prize.
