YOUNG athletes from Stratford Sharks Swimming Club both brought home medals from the Swim England National Summer Meet.
Stratford’s 12-year-old swimmer Jacob Smith and 13-year-old Harry Connor both won medals and achieved personal best (PB) times in the 13-year-old category.
Connor clinched gold in the 200m breaststroke and shaved eight seconds off his PB time.
And Smith won bronze in the 100m breaststroke as he raced in three events and reached two finals.
Smith also achieved PB times in all three events he competed in.
The event took place at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield.
Stratford Sharks head coach, Kim Mortimer said: “We are immensely proud of Harry and Jacob’s achievements.
“Their success is a testament to their dedication in training and serves as an inspiration to fellow teammates and young swimmers in the community.
“However, they couldn’t do it without the unwavering support of their families.”
