STRATFORD Sharks Swimming Club swimmer Harry Connor set a new regional record at the Aquatics GB Next Gen Championships.
Harry competed as the only 13-year-old in a field of 14-year-old’s at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield.
And the Stratford swimmer secured an impressive ninth-place finish in the 100m breaststroke final in a 20-strong field.
Harry set a new personal best (PB) time and also broke the West Midlands record for the fastest-ever 100m breaststroke swam by a 13-year-old.
He now ranks as the 11th best breaststroke swimmer in the United Kingdom for his age group.
Stratford Sharks head coach, Kim Mortimer said: “Harry’s outstanding performance showcases the dedication and hard work he has put into his training, and it highlights the nurturing environment provided by the Stratford Sharks Swim Club.
“Coaches and teammates alike are proud of Harry’s accomplishments, which reflect the club’s commitment to supporting young talent in competitive swimming.”
