Stratford CC ace Spencer makes it six of the best

STRATFORD CC youngster Spencer Corder secured a sixth win from six races after the latest round of the Ridley Lazer West Midlands Cyclo Cross League.

Racing at Halesowen on Sunday, Corder finished an emphatic 46 seconds clear of the field in the under-12s section.

He now has a 12-points lead in the overall standings.

He was followed home by team mates Lewis Tinsley in fifth place, and then Alex Burden (9th), Joshua Darlow (11th); and Samuel Abbott (20th).




Zoe Parker was 19th in the race but third girl home with Harriet Tinsley 25th and sixth girl to finish.

In the under-8s, Tamsin Moss was eighth but second girl home.


She has only raced three times so far in the series but has two wins and a second place to her credit.

In the under-10s race, Ruben Stringfellow was fifth – he lies third overall – followed by Callum Moss in ninth.

At the other end of the age range, Stratford newcomer Julieann Parker took fifth place in the women’s 45+ race.

In the men’s races, Philip Bromwich was 15th in the 45-plus event and Carl Max Taylor finished 14th and Robin Corder 26th in the 50-plus race.
