Smith and East impress

Stratford Editorial 18th Oct, 2017   0

IT WAS three out of three for Andy Smith (Binton A) and two out of two for Graham East (Wilmcote) when they shot consecutive possibles in last week’s Stratford & District Airgun League matches.

Their accuracy kept Smith at the top of the Baildham averages with an average of 34.33 and moved East up to second place with an average of 34.

Wilmcote’s 230-199 win at Avenue, who have failed to find their best form this season, ensured the visitors still led the table with ten points and a match in hand over Binton A, who also had ten points.

Binton A scored well in their 228-202 victory at MEB who, with two new shooters this season, are still finding their feet.

Avon are proving to be strong challengers this season and gave further proof of their talents in a 218-213 success at Home Guard in which they shot mainly fours and bulls.

Binton B and visitors Clifford were both short of shooters and relied on A N Other scores, but Clifford proved to be the more accurate as 33s from Jay Morris and Ben Withers helped seal a 210-198 win.
