STRATFORD-upon-Avon RFC missed the chance to beat Edwardians with the final kick of the game as the match ended in a thrilling 33-33 draw.
Gwil Davis saw his conversion attempt drift to the right of the posts after Andy Oliver’s last gasp try levelled the scores at Pearcecroft.
Tries from Laurence Birch, Michael Dawes and Davis put Stratford into an eight-point lead at the break.
However, the home side trailed by eight points with 10 minutes left to play as the hosts added six points from the kicking tee in the second period.
And Oliver’s late try brought the scores level with the clock in the red with Davis unable to convert from close to the right touchline.
Stratford are next in action against Shipston on Stour on Saturday, December 13 with kick-off at 2.15pm at Mayo Road.
