CLAVERDON RFC suffered back-to-back defeats at home after losing 34-14 against Lutterworth II.

Tries from Gabe Ball and John Grey proved in vain for the home side at Ossetts Hole Lane.

The result means Claverdon sit fifth in the Counties 2 Midlands West (East) table.

Lutterworth scored the game’s first try with a pick and go effort before the visitors added a penalty to take a 10-point lead.

The home side responded when Ball broke through several tackles on his way to the line as Luke Sibley added the extras.

However, the visitors crossed several times after the break to take the game away from Claverdon.

The hosts ran in a late try as Grey dotted down out wide after good work from Adam Wassall and Chris Glover as Sibley converted from close to the touchline.

Claverdon are next in action against Berkswell and Balsall on Saturday, December 13 with kick-off at 2.15pm at Honiley Road.
