NEW recruit Jac Constable admits that he is hungry to prove himself with Power Maxed Racing, after signing as the team’s British Touring Car Championship development driver.
The 23-year-old will be learning from the likes of two-time champion and racing veteran Jason Plato upon joining the Bidford-on-Avon outfit, hoping to replicate the success of previous PMR drivers Josh Cook, Senna Proctor and Jade Edwards.
Following his developmental year, it is expected that Constable will then join the BTCC circuit in 2022.
And having had time to come to terms with the news, he admits that he is still in a daze about the prospect of fighting for Championship silverware, with a team that he was close to turning out for last year.
“I’m so excited to be helping Power Maxed Racing in their push to challenge for titles, and I’m looking forward to getting stuck in,” he said.
“This will be my first year racing front-wheel-drive, and I’m relishing the challenge.
“The team helped me get my first taste of the BTCC last year at Croft, and with this new development driver role, I’m one step closer to progressing my dream of joining the BTCC grid.”
