STRATFORD TOWN’s under-16 Girls romped to a 6-0 win away at Claverdon with six different scorers finding the net.
The visitors dominated the Central Warwickshire Girls Football League Division Two fixture throughout and went ahead after just two minutes.
Skye Drinkwater’s corner from the left snuck in at the near post before Stratford doubled their lead two minutes later when Izzie Wyatt fired home from Abi Briggs’ ball over the top.
And Stratford were three goals up on 42 minutes when Sophie Clews hooked Drinkwater’s corner into the net at the far post.
The away side extended their lead on 54 minutes when Issy Shirley teed up Georgia Helliker to make it four after some neat interplay.
And it was soon five-nil when Izzy Grant exchanged passes with Briggs before she unleashed a fine strike from outside the box.
The scoring was complete on 74 minutes when Shirley received Amelia Bennett’s throw before cutting in from the left and hooking in the rebound after her initial shot was blocked by the keeper.
Stratford are next in league action away at Leamington Lions on Saturday, February 12.
