STRATFORD Town are inviting the local community to attend the club’s first-ever ‘One Club, Our Community, Remembrance Day’ event this weekend.
The Bards are hosting a special event dedicated to community, solidarity and paying respects on the club’s annual Remembrance Day fixture.
Stratford host Stourbridge at the Arden Garages Stadium on Saturday, November 8 with kick-off at 3pm.
And the club have invited local councillors and schools to attend the fixture.
All of Stratford’s teams, including the club’s youngest junior players, women’s teams, walking football side, veterans and pan-disability teams will parade around the pitch.
The event centres around a remembrance ceremony which will take place before kick-off.
Invitees also include the family of the club’s founder, past players, volunteers and representatives from the Royal British Legion.
A Bardy Bugler will perform the Last Post, leading into a minute’s silence.
Club chairman, Jed McCrory said: “This is our chance to show the strength and unity that defines our club.
“We want to honour the fallen, celebrate our incredible community, and create an unrivalled atmosphere to support our team.
“It’s a day for everyone connected to Stratford Town to come together and show what it truly means to be ‘One Club’.”
