STRATFORD Town surrendered a two-goal half-time lead in a 2-2 draw against Hungerford Town in pre-season.

Goals from Lewis Ludford-Ison and Bradley Stretton shortly before half time put the Bards in command at the break at Bulpit Lane.

However, efforts from Matthew Berry-Hargreaves and Ramarni Medford-Smith saw the home side come from behind to draw level on the hour mark.

The Bards opened the scoring on 40 minutes when Ludford-Ison headed home Stretton’s cross.

And Stretton doubled the away side’s lead three minutes later after he played a one-two with Henry Landers before rounding the goalkeeper and finding the net.

However, Hungerford halved the deficit moments after the interval as Berry-Hargreaves glanced home a long throw at the near post.

And the hosts equalised on 60 minutes when Medford-Smith saw his volley from the edge of the penalty area deflect past Bards goalkeeper Jake Weaver.

Stratford are next in action against Racing Club Warwick on Tuesday, July 29 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Arden Garages Stadium.
