STRATFORD Town stretched their unbeaten run to six matches following a 2-0 victory against Kettering Town on Easter Monday.
Goals from Joshua Toluwaloju and Dan Lafferty sealed the points for the Bards at the Arden Garages Stadium.
That came after Owen James earned Stratford a point in a 1-1 draw at Bishop’s Stortford on Good Friday after Frank Norris put the hosts ahead at Woodside Park.
And the results mean Stratford sit 10th in the Southern League Premier Central table, eight points outside of the play-off places with three matches left to play.
The Bards almost made a disastrous start against Kettering as Blaine Rowe caught the Stratford defence napping only to shoot inches wide on the half volley less than a minute after kick-off.
However, Stratford broke the deadlock on 24 minutes when Coventry City loanee Toluwaloju found the net from James’ square ball after good strength from Lafferty.
The home side went close soon after as Charlie Wragg fired wide while Lewis Ludford-Ison headed Fin Brennan’s cross over the crossbar.
Kettering spurned a golden chance to draw level in first-half injury time as Harvey Peters nodded wide from a free-kick when left unmarked in the box.
However, the Bards doubled their lead after the break on 72 minutes when Lafferty applied the final touch to Brennan’s corner.
Stratford goalkeeper Jake Weaver made two fine saves at the death to deny Nathan Jeche and Peters as the Bards held on to stretch their unbeaten run.
That came after James rescued a point for the Bards at Bishop’s Stortford as his goal cancelled out Norris’s opener.
Norris put the home side ahead on the stroke of half time only for James to equalise on 69 minutes with a header from point-blank range.
Stratford are next in action against Spalding United on Saturday, April 11 with kick-off at 3pm at the Sir Halley Stewart Field.
