STRATFORD Town maintained their unbeaten start to the season following a 1-1 draw away at Kettering Town.
Kettering took the lead through Wesley York’s goal straight after half time only for Owen James to equalise for the Bards just before the hour mark at Latimer Park.
The result means Stratford sit second in the Southern League Premier Central table, two points behind early leaders Stamford.
After a goalless first half, Kettering took the lead less than a minute into the second period after working the ball down the right and finding York in the box who finished from close range.
However, the Bards equalised on 59 minutes when James embarked on a mazy run before curling a fine effort into the top corner.
Stratford are next in action at home to Redditch United on Saturday, August 24 with kick-off at 3pm at the Arden Garages Stadium.
