STRATFORD Town romped to a 6-1 home win against St Ives Town after the visitors finished the game with nine-men.
The teams went in level at the break after Lewis Ludford-Ison saw his opener cancelled out by Jordan Williams at the Arden Garages Stadium.
However, St Ives had Michael Richens sent off shortly before the break before Dan Lafferty restored Stratford’s lead early in the second period.
And Duncan Idehen then saw red for the visitors shortly after when he committed a foul in the box which left St Ives down to nine players for the final 26 minutes.
Lafferty converted from the spot while Henry Landers also netted a brace either side of Ty Deacon’s strike as the Bards cruised to victory.
And the result means Stratford sit eighth in the Southern League Premier Central table, four points outside of the play-off places.
The Bards broke the deadlock on 14 minutes when Ludford-Ison fired home from the edge of the penalty area after he hit the post moments earlier.
However, St Ives equalised on 27 minutes as Williams looped a header over a stranded Jake Weaver in the Bards net.
The game turned eight minutes before the break when the referee showed Richens a straight red card for dissent.
And Lafferty put the home side back in front on 62 minutes when he headed in Fin Brennan’s pinpoint cross at the back post.
Lafferty won a penalty two minutes later as Idehen hauled the midfielder to the ground in the box as the referee brandished another red card.
And Lafferty duly converted the resulting penalty to all but end the game as a contest.
Stratford extended their lead on 70 minutes when substitute Landers made an instant impact as his finished from a cross.
And the Bards made it five 10 minutes later as fellow sub Deacon turned home Max Lott’s ball into the box.
The home side completed the scoring five minutes from time as Landers fired a loose ball into the net following a goalmouth scramble.
