STRATFORD Town saw their winless run stretch to six matches following a 2-0 defeat against Kettering Town in midweek.
The Bards now find themselves well out of the play-off picture with the club unable to end their winless run at Latimer Park.
Quickfire goals from Preston Bitemo and Ben Isaacson condemned the Bards to defeat.
The results mean Stratford sit 13th in the Southern League Premier Central table, the same points gap away from the play-off places and the relegation zone.
Paul Davis’s side fell behind against Kettering on the half-hour mark when Bitemo volleyed in from close range after the Bards blocked an initial shot from the edge of the penalty area.
And the home side doubled their lead just three minutes later as Isaacson’s low shot from 20-yards out squirmed under the glove of Jake Weaver and rolled agonisingly into the bottom left corner.
Stratford are next in action against Leiston on Saturday, March 7 with kick-off at 3pm at Victory Road.
