STRATFORD Town defender Kynan Isaac has been handed a 10-year ban by the Football Association (FA) after he was found guilty of spot-fixing during an FA Cup match last season.

The 29-year-old defender played in Stratford’s 5-1 defeat against Shrewsbury Town in November 2021 and is alleged to have been deliberately booked in the 83rd minute as part of a betting scheme with friends.

And he was given an additional 18-month ban forĀ “failing to provide the FA with telephone billing records, and/or details of his internet service provider” during an interview in March and “placed, permitted or caused or enabled 347 bets on football matches between 14 August 2016 and 6 November 2021 while a Participant at different clubs.”

The Daily Mail reported that the investigation began after the FA were tipped off with regards to suspicious betting patterns concerning the fixture last year.

Isaac has been banned from all football activity until April 2034.
