DAN Lafferty scored two penalties as Stratford Town cruised to a 3-0 victory at Stourbridge to secure a first away win since December.

Lafferty scored twice from the penalty sport shortly before half time after Lamine Sherif’s early goal put the Bards ahead at the War Memorial Athletic Ground.

The result means Stratford sit 13th in the Southern League Premier Central table.

Stratford made the perfect start when Sherif diverted the ball into an empty net after Charlie Wragg met Owen James’ cross from the right.

And the Bards doubled their lead from the penalty spot on 39 minutes as Lafferty coolly found the net after Dan Vann drew a foul in the box.

The visitors all but sealed the points on the stroke of half time when the referee pointed to the spot again for a foul on James and Lafferty made no mistake from 12-yards.

The Bards secured back-to-back wins for the first time this year and won on the road for the first time in 2026.

Stratford are next in action against Stamford on Tuesday, March 24 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Arden Garages Stadium.
