STRATFORD Town claimed back-to-back wins in the league with a come-from-behind 2-1 victory against Bury Town.
A late goal from Aston Villa loanee Max Lott completed the turnaround after Lewis Ludford-Ison’s strike cancelled out Jamie McGrath’s opener at Ram Meadow.
The result means Stratford sit 12th in the Southern League Premier Central table.
Stratford went close early on through Dan Lafferty at the near post while Bards goalkeeper Jake Weaver made a number of crucial saves at the other end.
However, Bury eventually broke the deadlock on 19 minutes when McGrath provided the final touch to an inviting cross from the left following a set-piece.
The goal sparked Stratford into the life and the Bards equalised on the stroke of half time as Ludford-Ison bundled the ball over the line from Lafferty’s flick-on at a corner.
And substitute Lott turned the game on its head four minutes from time when he latched onto a through ball and coolly found the corner of the net minutes after his introduction from the bench.
Weaver made a stunning stop at the death to preserve the points as the Bards ended their four-game winless run on the road in all competitions.
Stratford are next in action against Bromsgrove Sporting on Saturday, December 6 with kick-off at 3pm at the Victoria Ground.
