STRATFORD Town came from behind to win 2-1 at Stamford and claim a third straight league victory.

The Bards fell behind to Jordan Cooke’s early goal only for Jack Storer and Owen James to turn the game on its head at the Zeeco Stadium.

And the result means Stratford sit 11th in the Southern League Premier Central table as the Bards secured a fourth consecutive win in all competitions.

Stamford broke the deadlock after just eight minutes as Cooke rose highest to head in Jaden Charles’ corner at the back post.

However, Stratford equalised on 17 minutes when Storer found the net after good work from Henry Landers.

And the Bards completed the turnaround on 52 minutes as James produced a clinical finish from another Landers assist.

Stratford are next in action against Harborough Town on Tuesday, October 21 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Community Football Ground.
