SPORTING Club Inkberrow cruised to a 4-0 win against Cheltenham Saracens as goalkeeper Jude Franks starred in-between the sticks.

The home side made the perfect start when Harry Grant forced the ball home from six-yards out after just two minutes from Bill Coughlin’s header.

And Coughlin doubled Inkberrow’s lead on 20 minutes, heading in a cross from the right as the home side went into the break with a two-goal advantage after Franks made a number of fine saves.

And Franks was at his best at the start of the second half to preserve Inkberrow’s lead before Joel Steer finished from 18-yards out to seal the points on 65 minutes after good work from substitute Declan Green.

The scoring was complete deep into injury time as substitute Louis Crook fired home from Steer’s square ball to round off a fine afternoon’s work.

And the result means Inkberrow sit ninth in the Hellenic League Division One table.

Inkberrow are next in action at home to Tytherington Rocks on Saturday, September 2 with kick-off at 3pm at the Inkberrow Recreation Ground.
