LEWIS-Ludford Ison scored a stunning hat-trick as Stratford Town secured a fifth straight home win with a 3-0 victory against AFC Sudbury.
Ludford-Ison opened the scoring early in the first half before doubling the home side’s lead after the break and completing his hat-trick in style at the Arden Garages Stadium.
And the result means Stratford sit third in the Southern League Premier Central table, three points behind league leaders Bedford Town.
The game burst into life on 10 minutes when Ludford-Ison swept home Dan Lafferty’s pass from the edge of the penalty area.
And Luford-Ison doubled Stratford’s lead on 68 minutes with an overhead kick from 10-yards out as he acrobatically finished Lafferty’s deflected cross from the right.
Ludford-Ison completed his hat-trick and the scoring in the final minute with a sensational lob over Sudbury goalkeeper James Bradbrook from close to the halfway line.
Stratford are next in action against Hitchin Town on Saturday, March 1 with kick-off at 3pm at the Arden Garages Stadium.
